Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji film animasi anak Indonesia berjudul Si Juki The Movie: Harta Pulau Monyet (2024) yang disutradai oleh Faza Moenk menggunakan pendekatan semiotika. Penelitian ini mengemukakan bagaimana narasi orang dewasa tanpa sadar mengonstruksi dunia anak sehingga kasus gangguan mental yang diderita anak Indonesia meningkat drastis. Dalam mengkaji film ini, peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis lima kode semiotika Roland Barthes. Peneliti menemukan hasil sebagai berikut: (1) secara eksternal, film ini mengandung kode-kode imajinatif berdasarkan realitas hubungan orang tua dan anak di Indonesia khususnya keluarga Betawi. (2) secara internal, film ini menyajikan kode yang menunjukkan konstruksi orang tua terhadap anak yang cenderung menekan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa film Si Juki: Harta Pulau Monyet (2024) tidak hanya film animasi imajinatif, tetapi juga menggambarkan konstruksi orang tua yang berpengaruh besar terhadap piskologis anak.
