Eksplorasi Eksistensialisme dalam Cerita Pendek “Al-Jahim Laisa Fihi Mir’ah” dan Teks Drama “No Exit”

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan membandingkan bentuk eksistensialisme yang terdapat di dalam cerpen “Al-Jahim Laisa Fihi Mir’ah” karya Ihsan Abdul Quddus dan teks drama “No Exit” karya Jean Paul Sartre. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode baca dan catat. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan sastra banding yang mengasumsikan bahwa kemiripan kedua karya di atas akibat faktor pengaruh. Penelitian ini menemukan beberapa persamaan dan perbedaan antara kedua karya. Bentuk-bentuk eksistensialisme yang mirip pada keduanya antara lain: keterasingan, eksistensi mendahului esensi, dampak keberadaan seseorang bagi orang lain, dan kebebasan dan tanggung jawab. Kemiripan tersebut terbukti bahwa ada keterpengaruhan cerpen “Al-Jahim Laisa Fihi Mir’ah” dari teks drama “No Exit”.Referensi
