Abstrak

Menurut stereotip bahasa gender, setiap gender cenderung mempertahankan aspek-aspek tertentu dari fitur bahasa yang mereka gunakan. Selain itu, kebanyakan pria dianggap kurang banyak bicara daripada wanita. Film Cruella de Vill adalah contoh bagaimana bisnis film telah dipengaruhi oleh bagaimana masyarakat memandang perempuan dan bagaimana mereka berbicara. dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan berdasarkan teori Women’s Language Features dari Lakoff (Lakoff 2004), peneliti menemukan sejumlah data fitur bahasa wanita yang muncul dalam film Cruella. Dari 102 data yang diperoleh, 30,3% di antaranya adalah intensifiers, menjadikannya fitur yang paling sering digunakan, kemudian super polite forms dan avoidance of strong/swear words Kuat dengan masing-masing 0,98% paling sedikit digunakan. sedangkan precise color terms dan hypercorrect grammar tidak muncul sama sekali di film.
